Hi everyone.
Yeah, I know, I've been away QUITE a while. One of the problems inherent in having infant twins is that a lot of things drop by the wayside.
Like this blog, for instance.
I've been debating about whether to keep this blog up or to completely redesign this site and revert it to what it used to be: a showcase of my cartoons, with the occasional blog-like posting. Still undecided about that.
Anyhoos, everyone here in the Chambers household are doing well. The girls are steadily gaining weight, while unfortunately so am I. I got a new job doing closed-captioning using voice-recognition technology, which is not as neat as it sounds - the computer often mixes up the words "the" and "a", among many others. I work from 3:30 till midnight, while Olivia works from 7:00 to 3:30. This basically means that we never get to see each other except for brief moments in the morning and the afternoon and the weekends. The good thing about this is that we are able to keep the girls out of daycare for that much longer, so it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
Oh, yeah, I'm going to be an uncle again! My sister is expecting a little girl sometime in the near future. My niece's name? Olivia. Seriously. Unless my sister changes her mind.
Take care,
~Rob

Hello Mr. Chambers,
I am writing to you regarding one of your cartoons that appeared in The Signal on 11/2/2000. The cartoon is of the Bush/Gore Presidential Election and has close-ups of Bush and Gore boxing gloves and a smaller Nader across the ring saying "I can take 'em". We would like to get your permission to use this cartoon in a high school cartoon booklet, that accompanies our government textbook. I can send you a more detailed description of the product and usages. But I was first hoping to make contact with you to discuss using your cartoon, permission fees and how I can obtain a copy of the artwork for our project. I can be reached by email or phone at the number below.
Thank you in advance for your help on this project!
Sincerely,
Kerri Hoar
